History of Twin Enterprises, Inc.

Twin Enterprises, Inc. was founded on June 26^th 1998, by Travis Hackworth. He formed the company after working since 1992 for W.R. Boyd Contractors. Roger Boyd, W.R. as most people know him, is a Class A Contractor, and has been in the construction business since the 70s.

Travis Hackworth the Founder and Sole Owner of Twin Enterprises, Inc. was born and raised in Buchanan County, on Jewell Ridge, and went to Whitewood Elementary School till the 5^th Grade, and then transferred to the Richlands Tabernacle Christian Academy where he graduated Salutatorian of the Class of 1993.

He began a Summer Vocation Study with W.R. Boyd Contractors in 1992 and became very interested in the art of Construction. After graduating in the Spring of 1993 Travis was hired full time by W.R. Boyd Contractors and began learning the Construction Trade. Travis began taking classes at SVCC in Industrial, Commercial, and Residential Electricity. He also took classes which resulted in passing the Board of Contractors test, and received from the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation Commonwealth of Virginia, his Class A Contractors License # 2705 062125A.

Twin Enterprises, Inc. has always strived to bring a higher and more professional standard to the building trade. Building and designing custom Homes, Buildings, Offices, and Commercial Projects is a strongpoint with Twin Enterprises. We work with Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscapers, and other Professionals to bring you the most complete Team in the area! We travel to Suburban Subdivisions all over America to gain new technology and ideas, going in Million Dollar Homes to gain exclusive ideas! We are the Leader in Custom Trim Packages! Our trademark Octagon Trey Ceiling with Rope Lights In Behind 3 Piece Crown Molding has made our Homes stand out above the average! Custom Cabinetry, Stairways, Window & Door Treatments, Difficult Roof Lines, Custom Artistic Brick Work, Crown Moldings, Wall Panels, Coffered Ceilings, and Chair Railings, are just some of the personal touches we offer! Twin Enterprises works with Qualified Sub-Contractors which brings a level of professionalism to each phase of your project, and also allows multiple projects to be executed at the same time!

Twin Enterprises has been the General Contractor on several large projects, including helping with the 1^st Habitat for Humanity that was built in Doran, Va., the Vice-President of Bristol Compressors on the Clear Creek Golf Course, the Reddy Tri-County Health Clinic Project, the Teen Center in Richlands with Dr. Glen Harrison, Dr. Adkins Eye Clinic in Grundy, Jeff and Sheri Curtis with Curtis Automotive and Eagle Realty in Hidden Valley Subdivision. Twin Enterprises also does several Large Residences in Washington County, in the Abingdon area. Pictures of some of our homes are included below.

Twin Enterprises has a nice Office located at 1053C Cedar Valley Drive Downtown Historic Cedar Bluff. Twin Enterprises bought the former Mar-Na Flower Shop Building, and has remodeled it into their office. Inside is a mixture of some of the different ideas you can choose for your project.
